We named him "Qian" because Daddy came from Xinjiang, the West Region where Zhang Qian in Han Dynasty explored 2000 years ago.

I was reading Anabel Lee by Allan Poe when I was thinking of her name. Daddy was against "Anabel" so we settled with "Isabella". Daddy was born in Yi-Li, Xingjiang and I was born in Changsha, thus "Yi-sha" or "Isa". Bella just means she is precious to us.

I do exposure assessment, which involves lab measurement and modeling. I'm also interested in uncertainties of the models. What's uncertainty? Well, when my model doesn't work, I do uncertainty analysis.

My Other family
